Case Study

The Challenge

The Escape Series is a collection of triathlon races on location in various settings throughout the U.S.

Pelicon was challenged with developing a cohesive branding strategy that would be versatile enough to reflect each distinct race location while living together under the larger Escape Series brand. Because the races were still in the developmental phase, Pelicon was further challenged by not knowing the future locations of each race, so the branding system must accommodate virtually any type of location.

The Solution

Pelicon developed a unique branding system which allowed the “A” in the Escape logo to be replaced by a defining element or icon representing the location of each race.

Once the brand identity was established, Pelicon developed print, digital and social advertising for each race location with ongoing fresh design concepts for every new race season.

Finally, Pelicon developed the signage and graphics used on-site at races including stadium graphics, flags, finish line banners, lanyard credentials and trophies.
